Manfred is the CTO of AdScale (www.adscale.de), and CEO of AdScale Labs Ltd who are based in Christchurch. AdScale operates Germany's first real-time marketplace for online advertising. The company launched in September 2007 after only three months in development since then AdScale sets the benchmark in the marketing of online advertising in Germany, currently reaching over 60% of all German internet users with over 300 million ad impressions served on a daily basis. This makes AdScale the leading marketplace for online advertising in Germany. The technology was developed in Christchurch in collaboration with a business team based in Munich. Architecture, quality assurance and system administration are all run out of Christchurch.Manfred is a passionate advocate for Agile Software Development and has worked on large scalable systems for nearly 15 years. As a specialist in real-time trading systems, his roles have included project managing and the introduction of Agile Software Software Development principles for Europe's leading financial institutions.
