The Auckland Scrum User Group has been founded as part of the Agile Professionals Network to assist those people that are actively using Scrum to deliver both Software and other Business Products.

This group is targeted at those actively using Scrum in their business, in particular, for Scrum Masters and Product Owners, but any Scrum team member is welcome to come along, listen, share and/or ask questions.

The format for most meetings is:

  • Short presentation (45-60 minutes) on a particular topic related to Scrum or of use to Scrum Users.
  • Question and Answer (15 minutes) period relating to the presentation.
  • Following this the meeting will be more informal and allow any person to bring up a question or issue they are facing and the other users can give advice or suggest other approaches to solve the problem or issue.

The topic for the presentation will be posted at meetup.com/aucklandscrum at least 2 weeks in advance of the User Group Meeting.

If you have any suggestions for topics you would like to see covered or would like to cover a list topic or topic of your own please contact Shay McAulay through his account on this site.

Please Note : These sessions are targeted at people who are actually using Scrum. Most topics will be focused on the effective running of Scrum in a business environment, problem solving and knowledge sharing. These sessions are not targeted at people evaluating Scrum for use in their business or on specific projects, the Agile Professional Network has regular presentations that cover this.
