About the speaker ** Kane Mar **
Kane is a Scrum Trainer (CST) and Coach (CSC) and public speaker, with 18 years’ experience in the software development industry and deep experience with Agile software development. He has taught Scrum courses all over the world. Kane’s specialties include: Agile, coaching, Scrum and Extreme Programming. His clients have included Microsoft, Capital One, Progressive, Oracle and TransCanada Pipelines.
Kane has been an active member of the Agile software development community since 2001, when he first had the opportunity of working with Ken Schwaber. Kane became one of the first 30 Certified Scrum Trainers in 2006, and one of the very first Certified Scrum Coaches in 2007. He has training and coached software teams throughout North America and Northern Europe.

David Joyce is an international speaker, agile development manager and coach with 12 years technical team management and coaching experience, and 20 years software development experience.
In recent years, using Scrum and XP, David has coached onshore and offshore development teams and successfully launched an internet video startup from inception to launch. David currently works for BBC Worldwide as a Development Manager, coaching teams on Scrum, Lean and Kanban. David is a certified Scrum Master and Lean practitioner.

Rogan Clarke is currently working as a Programme Manager at BNZ. For the past year he has been running a programme of work that has gone through the process of adopting Agile development practices. In this session he will be sharing some of the key learnings during that time on what it takes to make the conversion to Agile.
Rogan has worked with project delivery and portfolio management in a number of different organisations in both Europe and NZ.

Stephen Lawrence, an Agile Australia panelist on the "Flavours of Agile", will share the key messages and themes from the conference with us. Steve has 17 years experience in IT with seven years using Agile, including three years as an Agile coach.
Steve is the Agile Practice Lead at Solnet Solutions. He regularly delivers presentations to NZ corporate and government clients on the benefits of Agile and enjoys practicing what he preaches on real projects. He is a committee member of the Auckland chapter of the Agile Professionals Network. Steve is passionate about taking Agile forward and delivering maximum value to clients.

Rashina Hoda
Rashina is a researcher, certified Scrum Master, and an Agile coach. Rashina has been studying Agile teams in the New Zealand and India for over 3 years as a part of her industry-based doctoral research. Her research has resulted in publications and presentations around the world, such as at OOPSLA2010, ICSE2010, CHASE2010, Agile2008-09, and XP2009-10 conferences. At this presentation, Rashina will share the results of her research that she recently presented as a full research paper at the International Conference on Software Engineering(ICSE2010) in South Africa.

About the Speaker: Gareth Evans
Gareth Evans is currently working with Assurity as an Agile coach after returning from 12 years working in the UK in investment & wholesale banking and media. In his last role at BBC Worldwide Gareth was part of the first team to implement Kanban within BBCWW, one of the earliest Kanban implementations in the UK. Gareth worked directly with David Joyce ( a leading UK Kanban practitioner, now at ThoughtWorks Melbourne) and the team had guidance from David Anderson (Kanban for software engineering inventor).
